Help Your People See the Vision

A short film series that walks your congregation and school families from "why now" to "count me in."

A brochure explains the building. A film shows people why it matters.

Most capital campaigns don't stall because people disagree with the plan. They stall because people never feel it. Renderings and budget sheets reach the head. Hearing a teacher, a parent, and a longtime member talk about what this ministry means to them reaches the heart.

A campaign film series puts real faces from your community in front of everyone you're asking: on Sunday, at the voters' meeting, in their inbox, and on their phones.

The Campaign Series

Four short films, released across your campaign so momentum keeps building.

  1. The Vision. Your pastor and principal share why now, and what God has placed on your hearts.

  2. The Stories. Members, teachers, parents, and students tell what this ministry has meant to them.

  3. The Plan. What will be built, what it makes possible, and how the campaign works.

  4. The Invitation. A heartfelt call to give, timed for your commitment Sunday or campaign launch.

Want to carry it through to dedication? Add progress updates, a groundbreaking film, a dedication film, and a thank-you film for your donors.

Built for your whole campaign

Every series is planned around where your people will actually see it:

  • Sunday worship and chapel

  • Voters' and congregational meetings

  • Your campaign website and email updates

  • Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, with short cut-downs for each film

  • Banquets, galas, and one-on-one donor visits

You'll get a simple rollout calendar showing when to release each film and where.

Proven in real campaigns

Bethlehem Lutheran Ministries, Hortonville, WI

Bethlehem's church, school, and early learning center needed one consistent message for everyone. A video series carried it, and Bethlehem reached its initial fund goal within two months of launch.

Prince of Peace Lutheran School, Taylorsville, UT

Facing rapid growth, Prince of Peace kicked off its building campaign with a four-part series shown in church services, on social media, and on its campaign website.

"He was able to connect with our people during their interviews, tie their unique stories into our overall campaign messaging, and also showcase those comments about our church and school through the footage of our day-to-day ministry."

Mike Paulsen
Principal, Prince of Peace Lutheran School

Why a principal makes your campaign film

I'm a Christian school principal, and I've led a building campaign of my own. I've sat through the board meetings, prepared for the voters' meeting, and felt the weight of asking a congregation to give. That's why I plan every film around one question: what does your community need to hear to say yes?

I grew up in a pastor's family, so telling ministry stories with care and integrity matters to me. Your people will be in good hands on camera.

How it works

  1. Discovery call (20 minutes). We talk about your campaign, your timeline, and your goal.

  2. Story plan. Together we choose who to interview and what to film, and line it up with your campaign calendar and consultant, if you have one.

  3. Filming days. One to three days on site, depending on the size and scope of your project, scheduled around your school day and worship schedule.

  4. Editing and review. You'll see each film before it's final, with two rounds of revisions included.

  5. Rollout. You get the finished films, social cut-downs, and a release calendar.

Investment

Projects start at $6,000.

Every campaign is different, so after our first call I'll send a clear quote based on the number of films, filming days, and travel.

Questions

Do you travel?
Yes. I'm based in the Fox Valley of Wisconsin and have filmed for schools in Wisconsin, California, and Utah. Travel costs depend on location, transportation, and whether hotel stays are needed, and they're spelled out in your quote.

How much staff time does this take?
About an hour for planning, plus helping coordinate interviews. I handle the rest.

Who appears on camera?
Usually your pastor and principal, plus a handful of members, teachers, parents, and students. I'll help you choose voices that represent your whole community.

Can you work with our campaign consultant?
Yes. I'll align the films with their messaging and calendar.

Can we use the films anywhere?
Yes, anywhere you'd like. Most ministries show them in church, on social media, and on their website, and many premiere them live at galas and banquets.

When should we reach out?
As soon as your kickoff date is set. The earlier we plan, the more of your campaign the films can serve.
